Rants About a Broken System, Part 2

Why Do Men in Power Keep Dragging Us Into War?

War Is for Cowards

Explain to me how it is 2025 and we are still using war to settle differences between countries — over how they think things should or shouldn’t be run. They say women shouldn’t run countries because we’re “too emotional.” But from where I’m sitting, plenty of male leaders have either started or escalated wars. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. And yet here we are — again. Don’t you think it’s time we finally elect a woman to run the United States? Don’t you think it’s time for actual change?

It blows my mind that grown adults can’t sit down and talk things out like actual human beings. Instead, they send young, innocent people — many from low-income backgrounds — to fight battles they didn’t start, for reasons they’ll never benefit from. Battles that leave them traumatized, permanently disabled, or dead — all because someone in power couldn’t be bothered to have a real, honest conversation.

We are destroying lives and killing our planet because humans haven’t learned how to communicate without resorting to violence. It’s not hard: sit down, talk it out, compromise. Make sure all parties are heard, respected, and safe. Imagine a world where countries collaborate instead of compete. Where we share resources, celebrate cultural differences, and work together to ensure that every single person has food, clean water, shelter, and healthcare. That shouldn’t be a radical idea — especially not when we’ve figured out artificial intelligence, cured diseases, and sent people to space.
